Lapsing of Acquisition for Non-Payment of Compensation
On 12.1.1999, section 6 LA Act declaration was issued and on 29.2.2000 the Award was passed.
On 30.7.2002, the Commissioner rejected the application under Section 48(1) of the LA Act for deletion of the acquisition.
On 30.1.2020, the petitioner filed the writ petition that the acquisition has lapsed under section 24(2) of the Act of 2013.
if Section 24(2) of the Act of 2013 is to apply, the persons claiming that acquisition has lapsed, will have to demonstrate that neither compensation was paid to them nor possession of the subject land was taken.
