The CISF Rules, 2001 – Rule 18 Disqualification of a person having entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living shall not be eligible for appointment to the Force.

The Rules are premised on an institutional requirement for all members of the Force to maintain highest standards of discipline, public confidence and integrity.
