The respondent occupied the cabin on the mezzanine floor of Oriental House building owned by the applicant.
On 6.9.2001, the eviction notice as issued on the ground of termination of lease. The notice under Section 7(3) of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971, for damages on account of unauthorized occupation.
The Estate Officer held that the tenancy was terminated by a valid notice and respondent was in unauthorized occupation. The order for eviction and damages at Rs.6,900/- per month from 1.5.2001 till delivery of possession, was passed.
