Cantonment Area of Pune – Unauthorised Constructions in Red Zone

By the order dated 12.1.2015 of the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment Board, Pune, for demolition of unauthorised construction in Red Zone declared under the Works of Defence Act, 1903, where no construction is constructed.

 A law-abiding citizen wonders if a law breaker like a “slumlord’ can construct illegal structures on public and private land without facing consequences, why should not a private landowner without permission or approval?

This idea promotes culture of lawlessness and corruption, undermining the very foundation of lawful governance.

The petition was dismissed with costs of Rs.1,00,000/-.
