IRDAI – Master Circular dated 5.9.2024 – Protection of Interests of Policyholders
IRDAI has issued comprehensive Master Circular of 109 pages for the protection of policy holders, in the background of IRDAI (Protection of Policyholders Interests, Operations and allied Matters of Insurers) Regulations, 2024, notified on 22.3.2024.
Master Circular is in two parts – Section 1 containing summary of important and relevant information at various stages of an insurance contract for the prospects / policy holders / customers and Section 2 containing broad requirements to be complied with by an insurer under the Regulations.
