Landmark initiative – MoU of Department of Social Justice with Legal Services Authority for social justice

As rightly said in PIB Release of 30.9.2024, the synergy between the executive and the judiciary so that social justice is strengthened in letter and spirit.

The Department of Social Justice of the Government of India and the National Legal Services Authority have signed MoU for awareness generation, legal aid and ease of access to the government social welfare schemes. 

This is landmark to ensure outreach of various schemes of the department from grass root level to the State level through the Legal Services Authority throughout the country.

Legal Services Authority will organize awareness camps across the country through para-legal volunteers and panel laws on creating awareness of five important Acts, legal rights, and the government welfare programmes.
