The petitioners, senior citizens of 91 and 84 years, filed appeal before the Collector, Pune (Senior Citizens Appellate Tribunal).   However, the appeal was not decided compelling them to approach the High Court for expeditious disposal and in the mean time to protect them from son and his family by asking them to stay out of the premises.

HC at pains to note plight of the senior citizens who are required to approach the HC and appealed to the Collector to nurture and wield human sensitivity to the senior litigants for giving priority to the matters for adjudication.  HC directed to pronounce the order within one week.

HC directed the State Government to circulate the order to all the Presiding Officers of the Senior Citizens Tribunal.

Order dated 4.1.2024 in W.P.No.16019 of 2023.
