Important & Salutary for the students and the parents – Guidelines for Regulation of Coaching Centre – Legal Framework for Unregulated private coaching

The Guidelines issued on 16.1.2024 by the Ministry of Education.   Clauses (1) to (16) provide the background in which the Guidelines are framed.  Out of five requirements as need for the guidelines, one speaks about the imperative need to safeguard the interest of the students enrolled in coaching centre.

Salient features of the Guidelines – Registration of the Coaching Centre, Conditions for Registration and the Infrastructure.  Most important requirement is about the fees that it shall be fair and reasonable.   Moreover, receipts must be made available for the fees.

Guidelines provide for Counselors and Psychologists Support

The Competent Authority shall have powers of inquiry and the powers of Civil Court, cancellation of registration and appeal.
