Indigent Person – Court fees – Insurance Claim
The appellant – claimant was injured in an accident on 4.7.2010 while riding pillion on a bike hit by the truck.
At the time of accident, she was earning. However, post the accident she sustained permanent disablement and as such is not able to do the work.
Claim for Rs.10 lakhs with interest and cost was filed.
On 17.10.2016, the Tribunal awarded compensation of Rs.2,41,745/-.
The claimant filed in the High Court of Gujarat and an application for permission to file the said appeal as indigent person.
However, the High Court rejected the said application on the ground that the claimant is granted compensation.
