Generic Medicines for poor people and downtrodden sections of the society in the Government Medical Colleges & Hospitals – Welfare Cabinet decision of 27 Feb 2024 of GOM

Government of Maharashtra has taken the welfare decision in its cabinet meeting held on 27.2.2024 to start generic medicine centres in the Government Medical / Dental Colleges and Hospitals in the State in coordination with NAFECO, HLL Life Care and HHCC India Limited.    There are 18 Medical / Denal Colleges in the State and at least one hospital at each of the District and taluka place.   This will help the poor and down trodden sections of the society to reduce their medical expenses to large extent.
