Deceased Babu was an electrician and mike operator. On 21.9.2006, he was drawing electric line for mike set to the respondent nos.1 and 2 for the programme. The cable came into contact with an electric line and he got electrocuted.
The mike set of the deceased was hired for the public function. The said work was not controlled by the respondents.
The Commissioner held that the deceased was an independent contractor and not an employee of the respondents.
