Annual Increment for six months or more but less than one year
The petitioners had worked for six months and above in the revised pay structure as on 1st July but retired before completion of one year.
The petitioners have claimed the benefit of Rule 10 of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2009.
The petitioners who worked for six months and above upto their superannuation in a particular are entitled to the benefits of annual increment and their retirement dues would be calculated by reckoning such increment while calculating their last drawn wages.
Under the 6th Pay Commission, the year for annual increment was from 1st July to 30th June of the next year.
